Meet Our Staff

KELLY M. CALTON

Kelly was born and raised in Sioux Center, Iowa. She attended Northwestern College and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration. During college, she worked part-time at American State Bank in the Investment Management & Trust Department as an Assistant to the Trust Administrator.

She moved to Denver after graduation and began working at Buhrdorf Mattern & Imus, Inc, a mid-sized CPA firm, as a staff accountant. She prepared tax returns, performed monthly accounting and billing services for a variety of businesses, prepared payroll checks and the applicable payroll tax returns, and assisted with federal student aid for clients.

In October 2004, Kelly left Buhrdorf Mattern & Imus, Inc to attend graduate school at Nyenrode Business Universiteit in the Netherlands. With the constant interaction with her international classmates (from countries such as Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, and Mexico), she learned as much outside of the classroom as inside.

Upon graduation with her MBA degree in December 2005, Kelly worked another tax season before starting with Waller & Mark, PC as Executive Director of Family Office Services. Trusted Family Advisors, LLC was officially formed in late 2007. Kelly is looking forward to developing TFA, seeing it as a great opportunity to have an integrated account summary of all personal and business bank accounts as well as an up-to-date bill pay system. As a one-stop shop, Kelly’s desire is to meet the wealth management needs of their clients with dedication, integrity, and reliability.

Kelly is a member of the American Institute of Public Accounts (AICPA), Colorado Society of CPA’s, and Family Office Round Table (FORT).

Kelly and her husband, Bryan, have been married for over two years. They live by Sloan’s Lake and enjoy various athletic activities together (such as snowboarding, biking, and running) as well as traveling across the country and across the world.
